On May 12, 2014, Murray State University made history by becoming the first entity of any type in the nation to legally place industrial hemp seeds in the ground as part of a statewide trial. MSU had received its seed from California, despite the DEA's efforts to intercept all incoming seeds.

The seeds were sponsored by Cannavest and planted to test no-till performance. The pictures above and below are from our visit to the project, two months after planting.
