On Friday, May 6, 2016 Kentucky Hempsters joined Sarah Sutherland at Historic Locust Grove in Louisville to plant the second hemp demonstration plot on the property.
Last year, Locust Grove planted the first crop in Jefferson County since before prohibition. This year, the crop will return as an educational tool for the community. Kentucky Hempsters' parent company, United Hemp Industries, will facilitate this project by donating seeds. Kentucky Hempsters will also be hosting a number of event with Locust Grove throughout the season in order to educate visitors about industrial hemp and the emerging industry here in Kentucky and across the United States.
