On Sunday, August 7, Kentucky Hempsters were back at Historic Locust Grove to celebrate the second annual Hemp Festival: Educate and Cultivate! Last year, Locust Grove was the first location to plant hemp in Jefferson County through the hemp pilot program. To celebrate, the historic site hosted a Hemp Festival in August.
Guests had the opportunity to meet with hemp vendors and purchase hemp products! Speakers and demonstrations also took place throughout the day. Of course, the hemp crop was in full bloom and photo-ready! We were glad to work with Locust Grove on a number of educational activities this season.
